Modified Hybrid PSO Algorithm for Efficient Control of the Matrix Converter-Fed Electrical Drive System

Advanced power converters are being developed due to the latest developments in electronics switches. The matrix converter (MC) assessment is product of this drastic growth. MC a bidirectional flow device with single-step energy conversion mechanism that operates at variable voltage and frequency. main drawback presence harmonics electronic switching. A lot research has been done decrease content present MC, but it restricted certain level only. To overcome limit, minimized by incorporating soft computing controllers. This article presents particle swarm optimization (PSO), modified PSO (MPSO), hybrid (MHPSO) based controllers for different loads. proposed controller reduces selecting suitable switching pulses every sample. simulations made using MATLAB/Simulink environment. results MHPSO reduce THD value from 8.654 approach 7.536 nonlinear
